What’s Hot!! With the City of Kilgore, Texas looking to make positive changes to the Downtown Area on Kilgore St., a new “store” opened last year and should be a stop on anyone’s trip to Kilgore’s “in progress” revitalization of the Downtown Area.
GoodDay Coffee + Books is located at 111 Kilgore Street, in Kilgore, Texas and is owned by Brent and Anne Brown.
The store features a variety of coffees and pastries, with over 3000 books. Patrons have access to “super fast” wireless internet. The coffee shop and book store is open Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The store is located in a historical building, with some modern touches.
The coffee shop features all types of organic coffee and teas, with pastry in the morning and deserts in the evening. The owners spent a year looking for the perfect cup of coffee, visiting roasters from the Big Bend of Texas to Anne’s hometown of Chicago to Portland Oregon. They finally found an exceptional cup of coffee in a small Seattle neighborhood, Zoka Coffee and Tea Roaster. This is where their coffee comes from and it is a great cup of coffee! As I am a coffeeholic, and always on a search for a cup of java, finding one of the best ever right in my backyard!

GoodDay offers outside tables and out the back of the building they are connected to the World's Richest Acre, you can go out their back door into the park and enjoy coffee there too. GoodDay offers everything Starbucks does, but even better! They are smaller, pay more attention to detail, and if you’re not happy they fix it! The machines they use are different, constantly adjusting to keep the espresso just right. Coffee classes may be offered in the near future.
If you’re looking for a Mocha Latte, organic tea, a great cup of coffee or my favorite their special brew of “Iced Coffee” with a sweet treat, then GoodDay is the place to be!
